Greetings from BOS office

Dear BOS Members,

A very warm welcome to all members of Bangladesh Orthopedics Society. BOS has evolved into a vibrant organization with focus on academics as well as well being of its members.

The new team has inherited a wonderful legacy and we aim to build upon it to meet the aspirations of the members. There will be a focus on improving the communication between the organization and the members. This will ensure that all the members are aware of the activities and the benefits of BOS and also their suggestions and complaints are addressed. The strength of any organisation is not in the number of members but the quality of interaction among its members & it’ll be our endeavour to improve this two way communication between the members & organisation.

In the past years, our Society has prospered in spite of the many adversities that have come along. Mutual understanding and cooperation have always kept us UNITED. Unity is the core strength of the BOS.

Two years of the Covid pandemic have disrupted our society activities. We were forced to quickly adapt and innovate. We hosted virtual webinars, held online meetings, and continued to hold annual congresses to ensure that everyone was updated and abreast with the latest Orthopaedic education, training, research and innovations. The past two years showed the resiliency of our organization, and proved that the BOS works together to further the advancement of Orthopaedics in our country despite all odds. As the world slowly normalizes post-Pandemic, the BOS will continue to move forward and upward. As your Secretary General, I ask your full support for our planned programs and activities. These three will be my main areas of focus:

• 1) Orthopaedic Education
• 2) Orthopaedic Research
• 3) Strengthened membership and collaboration
