The convening committee of the Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society and the 38th Conference Organising Committee-2025 were formed at the general meeting of the society at the conference room of the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation in Dhaka on Monday.

The convener of the committee is Dr Md Abul Kenan and member secretary is Dr Erfanul Haque Siddiqui, said a press release on Tuesday. 

The joint conveners of the committee are Dr Shah Md Aman Ullah, Dr Syed Zakir Hossain Biplob, Dr GM Jahangir Hossain, Dr Sheikh Farhad, Dr Abu Awal Shamim, Dr Sirajus Salehin, Dr Md Alamgir Hossain Joni and Dr Jamal Uddin Ahmed, and Dr Md Zahir Ul Islam has been made as the treasurer of the committee.

 Dr Wakil Ahmed has been made as chairman and Dr Md Mizanur Rahman as secretary of the Conference Organising Committee-2025.

A teacher of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University orthopaedic surgery department, Erfanul Haque Siddiqui is serving as planning and development director of the BSMMU.

He is also president of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-backed Doctors Association of Bangladesh DAB’s BSMMU unit.

Anti-discrimination Unity Council, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University felicitated Dr Erfanul Haque Siddiqui at the BSMMU in Dhaka on Tuesday, added the BSMMU press release.
